PATA（石塚智昭　11月４日生まれ　B型）

1987年、X（92年にX JAPANに改名）にギタリストとして、加入。

1989年にメジャー・デビューしたXはヒット曲を連発し、ライヴもSOLD OUT続出。若者たちを熱狂させ、社会現象といわれるほどの人気バンドとして、日本の音楽シーンのトップに君臨する。

1993年に、ティム・ボガート（ベック・ボガート＆アピス）、トミー・アルドリッチ(WHITE SNAKE)、マイク・ポーカロ（TOTO）等海外の有名ミュージシャンをバックに制作したアルバム「PATA」でソロ・デビュー。同年、アルバムに参加した海外ミュージシャンと国内ツアーも敢行。

1995年には、セカンド・アルバム「Raised on rock」をリリースしている。

1994年と1996年には、X JAPANのツインギターの相棒である盟友hideのソロ・ツアーに参加。

1997年12月31日、惜しまれつつX JAPANが解散。

1998年、MAKE-UPのヴォーカリストNoBとP.A.Fを結成し、アルバム「Patent Applied For」を発表。1999年にはセカンド・アルバム「PAT.#0002」をリリースした。

2000年には、HEATH（X JAPAN）、I.N.A（hide with Spread Beaver）と、Dope HEADzを結成。2001年にアルバム「PRIMITIVE INPULSE」、2002年にセカンド・アルバム「PLANET OF THE Dope」をリリースした。

2002年、ベースのMichiaki(元TENSAW)とドラムスの向山テツ（ex.Cocco, レッド・ウォリアーズ）と、スリーピース・バンドRa:IN結成。インプロビゼーションを基本に、インストゥルメンタルを演奏するという独特なスタイルで、人気を博す。

2003年にファースト・アルバム「The Line」、2006年にセカンド・アルバム「BEFORE THE SIREN」、2008年にサード・アルバム「METAL BOX」をリリース。海外での人気も高く、中国、台湾、フランス、アメリカ等、数多くの場所でライヴを行っている。

2007年、X JAPANが再結成。2008年の東京ドーム3DAYS再結成コンサートを皮切りに、国内及び海外でライヴ活動をスタート。

2011〜2012年にかけて、北米、ヨーロッパ、日本、南米、アジアを周るワールド・ツアーを敢行。2014年には、長年の夢であったニューヨークのマジソン・スクエア・ガーデンでのライヴも成功させている。

現在、X JAPANとRa:IN（2014年より、ベースMichiaki、ドラムス西田竜一、キーボードDIEの４人編成）にて、勢力的に活動中。

PATA - Tomoaki Ishizuka - Born November 4 - Blood Type : B

In 1987, Pata joined X (later renamed to X JAPAN) as a guitarist.

X made a major debut in 1989 and soon spawned hit after hit. Shows were sold out. The band gained enormous popularity amongst young generation and became a sort of social phenomenon. It didn’t take long for them to become the top band in the Japanese music scene.

In 1993, Pata made a solo debut with a self-titled album which featured Tim Bogert (Beck, Bogart and Appice), Tommy Aldridge (Whitesnake, Ozzy Osbourne) and Mike Porcaro (Toto) among others. It was followed by a domestic tour which featured oversea musicians that appeared on the album.

Second solo album “Raised on Rock” followed in 1995.

In 1994 and 1996, Pata came on board for fellow X JAPAN guitarist hide’s solo tour.

X JAPAN called it a day on New Year’s eve of 1997.

In 1998, MAKE-UP vocalist NoB was tapped to form P.A.F. The duo released an album “Patent Applied For” which was followed by “PAT.#0002” in 1999.

In 2000, Pata formed DopeHEADZ with HEATH (X JAPAN) and I.N.A. (hide with Spread Beaver). The debut album “PRIMITIVE IMPULSE” came out in 2001 and followed by “PLANET OF THE Dope” in 2002.

In 2002, Pata formed Ra:IN, trio band with Michiaki (bass : Formerly of TENSAW) and Tetsu Mukaiyama (drums : Formerly of Cocco and Red Warriors). The trio garnered attention by presenting an unique style of instrumental songs that are based on improvisations.

The first album “The Line“ was released in 2003 and followed by second album “BEFORE THE SIREN” in 2006 and third album “METAL BOX” in 2008. The trio played in countries such as China, Taiwan, France, U.S. amongst others.

After ten years of silence, X JAPAN reunited in 2007. The reunion concert was held at the Tokyo Dome with three nights completely sold out.

From 2010 to 2011, the band toured extensively in North America, Europe, Japan, South America and Asia. Their long-held dream came true when they successfully played Madison Square Garden in New York in 2014.

Currently, Pata is working tirelessly for X JAPAN and in Ra:IN (became four-piece in 2014 with Michiaki on bass, Ryuichi Nishida on drums and DIE on keyboard).
